Erosion of a Sea Stack Over 100 Years 12/7-12/12

The following photographs show the demise of Jump-off Joe, a sea stack at Nye Beach, Newport, Oregon. The photos were taken over a hundred year period 1890, 1970 and in 1990. What happened to the sea stack? Explain. **

  1. The sea syack was biga and tall until the big sea stack wa weathered down.It was weathered into sand and small rock.When sediments get weathered they turn into smaller particles.

  2. The water crashed into the rocks. So when the water crashed into the rocks the rocks went from biggest to the shortest.

  3. First there was alot of rocks and then they got smaller and then there were any rock.And then there was less water.

  4. All the waves that hit the big rocks breaked apart and they beacame litle.
    The waves of the sea made the rocks muddy and sand nothing that's why there is no more rocks.
